UK electronic travel authorisation (ETA)

What is it?

The UK Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) is a new entry requirement for people travelling to Britain for tourism, and short business trips. It is a digital document, that will be linked to your passport, that must be obtained before your visit. Approval is typically granted within 3 working days of your application.

Your ETA is valid for two years or until your passport expires, whichever comes first. During this time, you can visit Britain as often as you wish.

How to apply

The application process is simple. It takes about 5 minutes, via their app or their website, and costs £10 per person. And, don't worry, we'll send you a reminder about this closer to your arrival date.
